method itself is based upon a presupposition which excludes God. That the “scientific method” is not neutral ought to be apparent from what Cohen says about it. Scientific method does, to be sure, begin with the facts, but it begins with brute facts. It insists that facts are and must remain brute facts for God and man alike.
